editor for Mother Earth News Magazine as well as the Herb
Companion and Carolina Gardner, and author of several
landscape/gardening books. She will discuss best methods of
composting to enhance the quantity and quality of your garden
yield. In addition she will discuss ways to compost for small

Preparing Herbal Vinegars, $19

Johnson, member of the Roanoke Herb Society, and a frequent
presenter at Buffalo Springs Herb Farm (which is now closed)
will create several herbal vinegars, share winning
combinations, and talk about how she bottles her vinegars.

Susan Ostraseski, has prided herself in cultivating over 60
container gardens at her home. “ If you have limited gardening
space or energy,” says Susan,” container gardening is the way to
go.” Susan is also a member of the Roanoke Herb Society. Susan
will showcase winning combinations and practical how-to and
participants will leave with their own container garden designed
that day.
